The electric bike tour we did of Slea Head was the best thing that we experienced on our trip. I had never heard of electric bikes, so it was… read more all new to me. A quick explanation and basic biking experience is all that it takes! We biked the Slea Head Loop..23 miles I think…and it was amazing. Biking this trek is far superior to driving the loop in my opinion. So many sights and attractions to stop at and the hills were easily managed with the boost from the bikes. So So much fun! The owner and his son were easy to deal with and very accommodating. You do not want to miss this experience.

Best way to experience Slea Head on the Dingle Peninsula! Our family of 6 rented electric bikes and spent the entire day riding Slea Head loop and stopping at places… read more along the way (ring fort with sheep to feed, beautiful cliffs, Blasket Island Center, Tig Aine sat outside for delicious lunch with beautiful view, Louis Mulcahy pottery store, Gallorus Oratory). Bikes were in great condition and Norman and son, Luke, were so great to deal with. Friendly, accommodating, honest. Highly recommend this

What a great way to experience Slea Head on a fine day! Made a 40km round trip from our rental house. Much better than driving. Really… read more gave us a chance to take in the views and enjoy the peninsula.
We rented bikes for two days. Norman was great and easy to work with. Very responsive. We had a minor issue with one of the bikes – no worries he met us at a pub and fixed it while we had lunch.

This was the most fun thing we did in Ireland. This is definitely the way to see the Dingle peninsula — we were so glad we didn’t just drive it.… read more We took about 6 hours total to circle the peninsula, veering off the trail for all sorts of interesting sites and excursions. Almost everything to see / stop at is in the first “half” of the trip. It took us around 4.5 hours to get to Krugers and less than 1.5 hours to get back to Dingle after that.
The bikes had plenty of juice for the trip. We were worried that we were down to 3 bars of 6 at Krugers (with the mountain pass ahead of us), but we used less than a bar going back to Dingle from there.
I got a flat tire about 1/3rd of the way in. A quick call to John and he was on his way. I checked google maps and we were an 18 minute drive from Dingle at the time and John showed up in 19 minutes. On this trip, even a flat tire is not an inconvenience — it gave us an opportunity to relax and enjoy the view for a bit.
I can’t say enough good things about Dingle Electric Bikes!

This was the highlight of my trip to Ireland, John was extremely helpful and clearly explained the different routes I could cycle. The scenery was breathtaking – you can’t wait… read more to get to the next bend to take in the view. I cycled 60km solo and experienced no problems.

Biking (okay – ebiking!) around the Slea Head Drive was another highlight of our trip. We got very lucky with a sunny, bright day. The drive is simply amazing. We… read more stopped numerous times to take in the view, visit various sites, take a zillion pics…. John is fabulous. He explained our route with accuracy and sketched out various points for site-seeing and for abbreviating or extending the ride. We appreciated John’s warmth and humor. If weather permits, definitely go for this experience. You will be richly rewarded.

We really appreciated Norman accommodating a very last minute change to our reservation. We like to cycle and frequently do tours when we travel, but had never before used… read more e-bikes. We were on the fence about them. They were amazing though. We wouldn’t have been able to complete the whole Slea Head Drive loop without the boost on some of the hills. We cycled for 55km, partially due to a wrong turn. The scenery varies but is magnificent throughout. There are plenty of cafes to stop and rest.
