The weather was a bit touch and go the day we rented, so John even gave us his number and offered to pick us up if we got too wet partway around, which was a lovely touch.

The bikes were in good state, but one of them had rather weak brakes, which made it a little bit more ‘adventurous’… Nevertheless we had a great biking experience and a lovely day at Slea Head Drive!

I think it’s definitely better, to maximize the enjoyment and overall experience, as well as to minimize a range of impacts, to go by e-bike rather than by car. A quick explanation and basic biking experience is all that it takes! We biked the Slea Head Loop..23 miles I think…and it was amazing. Biking this trek is far superior to driving the loop in my opinion. So many sights and attractions to stop at and the hills were easily managed with the boost from the bikes. So So much fun! The owner and his son were easy to deal with and very accommodating. You do not want to miss this experience.
