The trip is amazing and biking it is way more impactful than riding in a car (or bus!), so rent one of these and get it done! Cars are respectful and you never feel like you are going to get hit- I guess they are used to it and everyone looks out for you. Take your time and go explore. You will want to be in "decent" shape for this, but you should worry more about being "saddle-sore" than your burning quads- the bike actually helps more if you don’t pedal as fast (in my experience). I recommend you park them whenever something grabs your interest, and go explore it and come back. John is super relaxed and helpful, if you need him!

This is definitely the way to see the Dingle peninsula — we were so glad we didn’t just drive it.… read more We took about 6 hours total to circle the peninsula, veering off the trail for all sorts of interesting sites and excursions. Almost everything to see / stop at is in the first “half” of the trip. It took us around 4.5 hours to get to Krugers and less than 1.5 hours to get back to Dingle after that.

The bikes had plenty of juice for the trip. We were worried that we were down to 3 bars of 6 at Krugers (with the mountain pass ahead of us), but we used less than a bar going back to Dingle from there.

I got a flat tire about 1/3rd of the way in. A quick call to John and he was on his way. I checked google maps and we were an 18 minute drive from Dingle at the time and John showed up in 19 minutes. On this trip, even a flat tire is not an inconvenience — it gave us an opportunity to relax and enjoy the view for a bit.

The e-bikes are a perfect way to get around Slea Head. They give you the freedom to move around, enjoy the variety of sites at your leisure, and really give you a new perspective on the place. We went for a swim in Ventry, saw beehive huts, had lunch, visited other beaches and viewpoints and rounded it off with a pint at Tigh T.P’s.

As someone who has regularly visited Dingle, I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience. Perfect for a sunny day out on the peninsula!

The bikes were in good state, but one of them had rather weak brakes, which made it a little bit more ‘adventurous’… Nevertheless we had a great biking experience and a lovely day at Slea Head Drive!

We were able to stop at a museum, sheep farm, and pub. It was a little difficult to keep track of how to get back; we had to keep checking googlemaps because there isn’t easy signage. While we made it back OK, it was nice to know they would come pick us up if we needed help. One of our three bikes seemed to stop working for a bit and lost it’s chain, but it didn’t take more than a few minutes to figure out how to fix it & had no problems after that. The only thing I would recommend to the company is that there be someone at the office when people are expected back – I had to make a call and then collect my ID in town. Not a big deal, but after biking all day we would have liked to return the bikes and get my ID back right away. The guy who checked the bikes out to us was super nice. Good customer service. I recommend doing this instead of driving the loop.
